The Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB)

Achilles offer buyers online supplier management services to identify, qualify, evaluate and monitor suppliers and contractors, through sequential procurement services that help manage risk in the supply chain. Phoenix Inspection Systems Limited is an approved UVDB supplier for test and inspection equipment.

The Utilities Vendor Database is operated as a qualification system under article 30 of the EC Utility Directives. Information is gathered about suppliers, for example; financial performance, health, safety, environmental policy, CSR, products and services data and is checked that it is up-to-date and accurate, and made available online to buyers.

Where supplier verification and assessment is required for contracts of high operational risk, the Utility second stage pre-qualification scheme UVDB Verify applies. UVDB Verify allows companies to demonstrate compliance to safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) requirements.
