Phased Array

Phased array is an advanced ultrasonic NDT method and can be used to detect a wide variety of inspection and measurement applications.
PAUT can be used to identify component failures such as cracks or flaws in welds and determine component quality; thickness measurement of materials and coatings; corrosion inspection including cracks, voids and pits; flaw detection and composite inspection including joints and interfaces.
Widely used in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, aerospace and power generation, phased array technology has the ability to control parameters such as beam angle and focal distance and is a very efficient method in terms of detection and imaging of defects at faster speeds than conventional ultrasonic testing.
